Anchor Counseling FAQs

Where is your office located?

We’re located at 660 Newtown-Yardley Rd., Suite 201, Newtown, PA 18940. Ample free parking is available. Our second floor suite is handicap accessible via elevator. We are conveniently located off of 295 in beautiful Bucks County, PA. We also offer virtual counseling sessions for clients who reside in PA and are unable to make it to an office setting.

What are your hours of operation?

Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Saturday – 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

How much do sessions cost?

Our standard fees are $170 for intake appointments and $150 for regular sessions. We frequently work with churches who help underwrite part or all of the session cost based on financial need. Please call the office for more information.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

After contacting the office through our website or via phone call, a member of our team will reach out to you in 1-2 business days. Most clients are able to schedule their first appointment within 1-2 weeks, pending clinician availability. Our streamlined intake process helps people receive the help they need quickly, avoiding long wait times. We believe that when someone is courageous enough to reach out for help, long wait times shouldn’t be a barrier to receiving support.

How do I get started?

Simply fill out the request form on the website or call the office directly at 215-860-2607.

Do you offer Christian Counseling?

Faith can be a very important part of becoming a healthier version of yourself. For many clients, that is a central part of their identity. At Anchor Counseling, we honor that, but do not insist that a client’s faith journey or spiritual beliefs are part of the treatment. Your beliefs will be honored and respected no matter what they are. All beliefs are respected at Anchor Counseling.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, the only insurance that we accept is Optum Behavioral Health. For others who are interested in using their health insurance for an out-of-network provider, a monthly superbill, or detailed receipt, can be provided. We find that many clients find private-pay therapy affords them more say over the focus of the treatment and the duration of the treatment than using insurance would.
